Day 1: Otopeni international airport - Bucharest city - short city tour - night train to Suceava town

Join Bucharest, make a short tour of the city to the interesting "Village Museum" and "Peasant Museum", also we will see the second large building in the world after Pentagon (USA) - Parliament Palace built in Communist period. After dinner in a Romanian traditional restaurant, transfer by night train to Suceava town, the capital of Bucovina region.

Day 2: Suceava town - Voronet and Humor monasteries - Orientals Carpathian mountains

The former capital of Moldavia during medieval period, Suceava is the start point for our trip in Bucovina. With a reach and glorious history, it preserves great monuments: the Suceava medieval fortress, Saint Dumitru church and Saint Ioan cel Nou monastery. Dragomirna monastery is one of the most beautiful, built in 1602 with impressive fortification. Inside the church are valuable frescoes. From Suceava start our trip inside Bucovina land to the Carpathian to famous Voronet Monastery - UNESCO patrimony, surnamed “the Sixtine Chapel from Orient", it preserves very beautiful and impressive outdoor paintings. It was built in XV century by Stephan the Great in even four months. Then on Humor valley we visit Humor Monastery - UNESCO patrimony, including the small but very reach in valuable paintings church (XVI century) and a impressive fortified tower built later.

Day 3: Humor Monastery - Cacica salt mine - Arbore church - Radauti town - Sucevita Monastery - Moldovita Monastery - Borsa resort

After Humor we follow the road to Cacica, a Polish village. Here is a beautiful catholic cathedral, also we visit the salt mine from XVIII century. Arbore church is other very beautiful medieval church built in XV century by a reach boyar. The outdoor and indoor paintings are very appreciated - UNESCO patrimony. Radauti town is a small and tidy Bucovinean town. Was the capital of Moldavia in XIV century. Here we visit Bogdana monastery, the oldest orthodox church from Moldavia (XIV - century). Preserve interesting indoor frescoes. In Sucevita valley we discover one of the most beautiful monastery in Romania - Sucevita (UNESCO patrimony), with a great architecture in Moldavian style and amazing inside and outside frescoes, built by Movilesti family in XVII century. Cross the Obcina Mare main ridge in Ciumarna pass - 1100m alt. - a great place to admire the environs, then descending to Moldovita monastery another UNESCO patrimony, built in XVI century preserve very beautiful indoor and outdoor frescoes. Follow Bistrita valley to spectacular Rodna Mountains to Borsa small resort. Optional after lunch hiking to Cailor Waterfall - the biggest from Oriental Carpathian (3 hours).

Day 4: Borsa resort - Viseul de Sus - forester train to Vaser valley in Maramures mountains - Maramures land - Sigherul Marmatiei town.

From Viseul de Sus we start our trip in a forester train on Vaser valley, in the deep Maramures Mountains, one of the wildest places in Romania. We return in Viseul de Sus after lunch and we go to Sighetul Marmatiei town, the heard of Maramures, when visit the Ethnology Museum with a great collection of wood art.

Day 5: Sighetul Marmatiei town - Sapanta "Happy graveyard" - Sapanta, Barsana, wood churches - Gutai Mountains - Baia Mare - Lapus Land - Rohia Monastery - Nicula Monastery - Cluj-Napoca city.

From Sighetul Marmatiei continue to Sapanta village to the strange "Happy graveyard", a great place to understand the soul of the Romanian people. On Iza and Mara valleys we discover the finest villages and greatest wood churches from all Maramures land and some of the highest wood buildings on Earth. Villages like Sapanta, Calinesti, Barsana, Desesti... represent the genuine of the Maramures wonted art. Cross volcanic Gutai Mountains to main town of Maramures district - Baia Mare, then discover the beautiful landscapes of Lapus land. After a visit to Rohia Monastery situated in a wild place in the middle of the wood, descending to Dej town on Somes valley. Follow this valley to Nicula Monastery. This monastery is famous for glass painting tradition one of the most representative glass painting school from Transylvania. In the end of the day we arrive the the main town of Transylvania - Cluj-Napoca.

Day 6: Cluj-Napoca city tour - train to Bucharest city

Cluj-Napoca city tour. The former capital of Transylvania this town preserve a great history. Visit the old center, the Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals, the Belvedere hill. Transfer by train to Bucharest city.

Day 7: Bucharest city tour

Our city tour in Bucharest start with a visit to Peasant Museum from north part of Bucharest. In 1996 this museum was awarded with “The Best European Museum”. You can bay from here quality souvenirs. Cross Victoria square on Calea Victoriei a representative road in Bucharest. Visit the Parliament Palace the second large building on Earth (after Pentagon from US). This building was made in communism for Ceausescu president by poor Romanian’s workers with 100% Romanian products. In Romania about 80% of the population is Orthodox, a good reason to make a tour to Patriarchy Cathedral. University square is a very important place for recent history. There is the Bucharest University – the biggest in Romania and the National Theatre. We return to the old part of the city - Lipscani, to spend time to discover, old churches, people and shops. Many streets and buildings representative for this city are similar with many from Paris. By the way this city is known also with surname “Little Paris”. In the end of the day our guide will invite you in a restaurant to spend the last evening in Bucharest with us.

Day 8: Bucharest - free time in the city - transfer to international airport
